The electoral democratic taking place in Pilkada Ponorogo 2010 has remained at the step of "theatrical democratic" or democration of performance. It is showed that society maturation in the politic is still a step of learning process in which the process of social exchange has taken place in society based on calculation advantage and disadvantage: reward, cost, and profit. This process affects much practice of money politic done by the candidate to pursue voters. Running on fast globalization and modernization
causes many people to be trapped in materialism and hedonism culture. Ulama contribution in establishing democratic values in the district election is as a form of responsibility and solidarity or social caring about that is based on values of noble nature. It was done by ulama to equal modern civilization without or less faith. The active participation of ulama in establishing democration in Ponorogo is undertaken by coordination and consolidation that is based on religious values and cooperation among society, government, KPU, political party and pertained institutions; by supporting material, spiritual, and take part directly in electing.
