Abstract
This article is to illustrate the continuity and change of Jama'ah Lil-Muqarrabin Syattariah order in Tanjunganom Nganjuk East Java in the modern era with structural-functional theory. The results show that there were continuity and historical change, philosophies-idealism, social ethics, ritual teaching, and institutional orders, up to the last few decades. The Syattariah order was able to survive in the context of socio-economic, political, educational, scientific, and technological dynamics. They can adapt to changes in the modern era by integrating various aspects of the values, needs, and demands of modern society with the leader of the Wasitah.
