Abstract
This study discuss how Muslim and Buddhism in Sodong interpreted his religion to create a harmonious life in the midst of multi-religious community. The interpretation of religion is important because it will have an impact on their religious behavior. Inclusive interpretation will
create tolerant attitude toward others, on the other hand exclusive interpretation will give rise to intolerant attitude toward others. This research is included in qualitative and use interview and observation as data collection method. The results of this study show an inclusive religious pattern among Buddhists and Muslims in Sodong. Buddhist inclusiveness seems to mean that all religions have a good purpose, therefore it does not matter what religion is chosen, as long as it can bring good purpose. While the inclusive attitude of muslim appears in the interpretation of religion which emphasizes on the aspect of the common good (rahmatan lil alamin), this meaning puts good deeds as a soul to create a harmonious life.
